Today is our 9 year anniversary, but we decided to celebrate last night because that's when we had a babysitter. So, after Brian got off work, we decided to drive our kids to Grandma and Grandpa's in Farmington and then go out to eat. We are just too tired (and too cheap) to do it up big this year, and we were both pretty happy with that. Besides, we'll do something big and fantastic next year for our 10 year.
Anyway, we got to Farmington, and when we arrived, I realized I totally forgot to pick up food for the kids on the way. So, we got inside Brian's parents house and hurried and ordered them a pizza. One obstacle down, now it was on to dinner. Or so we thought.
We were walking out the door, and of course I got a migraine. This would have to happen right then. Well, I was determined to go out, so I told Brian I would just have to lay in the car a while and let it ease a bit. I knew I'd be in pain, but at least I was with the one I love! :0) So, we are driving along, merge on to I-15, and all of a sudden this truck starts honking at us and pointing at our tire. CRAP. Brian had mentioned about 5 minutes earlier that the van was driving a bit funny. Yep, we blew a tire. So, we got off the freeway, barely made our way to WalMart, and spent about 45 minutes sitting there while they mounted a new tire. So, the majority of the painful part of my migraine took place at WalMart. And, you all know how much I love WalMart. Luckily they were still open. I was quite ticked off though because we had to spend the money that I was going to use for a hair update on a new, stinkin' tire.
We FINALLY made it to the Olive Garden for dinner and had an enjoyable time. I also made sure to get dessert, to make up for the crappy events that took place earlier.
So, all-in-all, it has been a good anniversary, but hopefully next year we'll be at some exotic destination without any automobile troubles or migraines. I love you Bri! Thanks for putting up with all my nonsense and craziness!

Congrats on your anniversary-what a good day to have gotten married (same as us:) Sorry about the migraine and blown tire-at least you'll always remember that!
That's terrible!! You definitely deserved dessert. Happy anniversary to you both!! Holy cow - 9 years! We're getting so old.
Oh crap! Well, on to next year. I hope dessert was chocolate!
Happy anniversary!
Well, at least that all didn't go down when you had all the kids with you; probably a blessing in disguise.
Well, Brian made a very good choice in a marriage partner! I'm very happy Brian married such a good woman!
