There's only one Lagoon...

and boy was it a scorcher! Brian took the day off last Tuesday, and we decided to head to Lagoon. It was fun, but it was HOT! Lindsay brought Sabrina, and Uncle Jeff came along, so we had 4 adults for 5 kids which turned out to be a very good thing. When Noah refused to ride anything remotely exciting, there was always an adult to hang back with him. Poor Uncle Jeff couldn't get on too many great rides due to crazy kids, but I did go on Wicked with him, and to my amazement, I really enjoyed it. Yes I am an almost 31 year old mother of five, and yes I did exit the ride with a slight headache, but I was proud of myself nonetheless.

Andrew took a chance this year and rode the Flying Aces and the Jumping Dragon. He loved them both. We couldn't get him on the White Roller Coaster, but maybe next year. Noah's favorite ride: Bulgy the Whale. Hilarious! He's almost 7, and his favorite ride is that of 2 and 3 year olds alike. Noah did go on the Flying Aces once, and he cried the whole time. I felt really bad because I was the one who told him I'd pay him $5 if he'd try it. I thought he'd end up liking it. I was wrong.

Ella loves the Ladybug Drop. She LOVES it. I bet we got on that thing at least 8 times. She giggled every time we'd drop, and then she'd ask to go again. It's actually quite fun for a kiddie ride. Ava rode the Ladybug Drop as well, but it scared her. Then she decided she wanted to go a second time. It scared her a second time. Maybe it was a good scare; I don't know.

Anyway, fun was had by all. I don't think I ever want to go in that heat again, but we seem to always enjoy going.

Lagoon all day is hard but in the heat I bet it is even harder! Way to go on Wicked...that ride is crazy. I don't blame Andrew for not going on the white roller coaster, just the sound of that thing makes you think it is going to fall apart any second! Glad you had a fun day.

A big thank you for letting us tag along...a big NO THANK YOU for posting that picture of me on your blog. Seriously though, we had a great HOT day.

I'm sending a big thank you for letting me tend the babies that day. What could be better than cuddling with those two. (Perhaps Bulgy the Whale based on Noah's expression.)
