I went downstairs the other day to find that Ella had pulled all the couch cushions off the couch. She was jumping up and down on them. Having already told her 10 times to not do that anymore, I wasn't too happy about it. I told her to put the cushions back on the couch, to which she replied, "But Mom, I need my exercise!" I, of course, couldn't help but laugh. Something like this isn't really unusual for her to say, but I immediately thought of three reasons this was so funny. #1: Being a total of 27 pounds, it doesn't seem to me that the child really NEEDS exercise. #2: Every time I get on the treadmill to run, Ella tells me that I have to get off and play with her, to which I reply, "I need my exercise." #3: I'm thinking, "You are the most active child west of the Mississippi. How much more exercise could you possibly need?"

Allison loves "exercising" too. She especially loves trying the stretches that she's seen her daddy doing.
If Ella is the most active child west of the Mississsippi, that must mean that my child is the most active one east of the Mississippi.
