This is the time of year I absolutely go nuts! The middle of January to the middle of March is the WORST! It's cold, snowy, smoggy, and we are stuck indoors all day. My kids go stir-crazy, and they drive me insane. I have been desperately trying to come up with creative outlets for them, while trying to get my daily chores done. This is one such experiment:

In an attempt to get my kitchen cleaned and mopped, I made the kids a clubhouse by putting my kitchen chairs together and spreading a blanket over the top. Who knew it'd be such a hit? This little architectural masterpiece bought me an hour and a half of cleaning time. That amount of time doesn't usually exist in my world, so needless to say, the clubhouse will be appearing again soon!

Honestly, if I didn't have these four adorable faces to look at every day, I'd probably never get through winter. They are constantly growing and changing and amazing me with their knowledge. Although the four of them may send me straight to the insane asylum, I wouldn't trade them for anything. They are the BEST!

Oh, Nat! The fort looks even better in person. I think they can come over and play anytime you need a break. They really are good kids.
Forts are a huge hit at our house too! We have them in almost every room and I'm just too tired to clean them up.
You are such a cool mom! Way to be creative to keep the kids entertained. I say you try the fort idea again next week but instead of cleaning for 1 1/2 hours you could take a nap??? Ok, I know that's not realistic...
Smart mommy! I completely agree regarding the weather. This is miserable!!!!
I hear you Natalie! I am about to go crazy!!! Maybe I'll try that fort idea...
Hey! Looks like a good time...being cooped up in the cold, again I say, it is a great time to come to AZ :) Have you guys been out on a date since we left? :)
oh yes, the fort. Julie loves the fort. Really we pretend it is more like a dog house. Julie and Megan like to pretend they are dogs and pull eachother around by a rope around their wrist. I explaine to Julie she could not tie a rope around her sisters neck. Yikes.
Way to go Nat! I might have to steal your idea. But I will steal it in July rather than now, when it is 115 degrees outside!
