Within the past month or two, words have begun to explode out of Ava, or as my sister Shelley would say, "She's having a talk-splosion." She's starting to talk and talk and talk some more! It's coming out in understandable sentences, such as, "I pooped, Mama," and "I want that!"It's so weird how suddenly language emerges, and they just "get it" one day. Ava can count to 10. She knows and points to several body parts. She declares, "I'm cute," about 100 times a day. She mimics all words and sounds she hears.
It's just amazing how quickly she is changing and growing. She's changing in every way, and it has been really fun lately to wake up in the mornings, knowing that I'll hear something new and adorable come out of her mouth. I'm trying to relish the moment and really have fun with her. I know before long she'll be declaring that she hates me, and that I'm the meanest mom in the whole world. (I've heard both things from the other three within the past week).

I think this is one of the funnest things about being a parent. It makes the "terrible 2's" almost worth it. Almost.
It's great you have this blog to document the fun things you hear her say. This is why I want to tend as often as possible because I miss hearing all the funny things the kids say. Also, In about 20 years you will no longer be the meanest or most embarrasing mom in the world so that gives you something to look forward to.
To mom: I don't know mom, you are pretty darn mean to customer service people! ;) Nat, I'm bummed that I'm not around to hear the talk-splosion. That's definitely my favorite time-frame. Like when Maya would call decorating "cudiating" and said that it was raining on her face because she was angry! Bummer... I guess there's this summer! Hooray for summer!
