We got to Ogden in the afternoon and then went to a place called Rainbow Gardens at the mouth of Ogden Canyon. We ate and shopped for a while. Rainbow Gardens is really a neat place with a lot of "girly" stuff (as Ella would say). Ella, of course, got totally spoiled and got a special milkshake at lunch (which she really didn't eat) and Addie bought her a little Easter necklace that was inside a cute little chick.
Then we went back to Grandma Pinson's house and watched two movies (The Princess and the Pauper and Cinderella) and then we went to sleep. (Surprisingly, Ella actually fell asleep quickly and didn't kick me all night long).
In the morning, we got dressed and ready and cut-out, baked, and frosted sugar cookies. Ella really enjoyed doing that and made a pretty sizable mess. Then we packed up and left. It was a pretty quick little trip, but it was really fun to just hang with the gals. Brian's Grandma Pinson is one of those people that might be 88 years old, but she is about 20 at heart! She loves to have people visit and to get out and about. We love her dearly and had a great time at her house. She's always so hospitable and so sweet with the children. We also, of course, LOVE spending time with Addie (Bri's Mom). She is a fabulous Grandma and mother-in-law. I'm so thankful to have her in my life and in my kids' lives. She's always thinking about what she can do for us and for the kids. You could not find a better grandma if you tried. She's also a great friend to me, and I genuinely feel like she's my second mother. I miss her and Paul a lot, but we're lucky to not be too far away and try to visit as much as we can.
Anyhow, Ella and I had a blast. I didn't get a picture of Grandma Pinson, and I'm really sorry I didn't. She's fabulous! Thank you Addie and Grandma Pinson. We Love You!

That was such a fun time and I feel the exact same way about you! I feel like you're a daughter to me and I just love you and your precious little family! We'll go and do girly stuff again! That was a lot of fun!
-Sounds like you gals had a great time. You deserve it!
What a fun weekend. How neat that you have a sweet mother-in-law to do fun things with. I am glad you got to getaway.
What a special memory that will be for all of you. Ella looks so grown up in those pictures, it's hard to believe how fast it all goes.
Ella looks like she was in heaven! How fun this looks.
