I had a birthday; turned 31. I'm not sure how I got here, but alas here I am. Birthdays for me aren't all that exciting, and I really don't want them to be. I'm quite happy to go to dinner with the hubby, and let's face it, buy my own presents. After being married for 10 years, I'd just rather have it that way. No sense expecting my husband to buy the "just perfect" gift. I always know what I want (part of my present this year was the Wii Project Runway game....don't judge), and there is no sense in being upset if my husband can't read my mind.
Also, Mr. Noah had a birthday; he turned seven. Happy Birthday to my hilarious, easy-going, class clown of a kid. At seven years old, Noah is still pretty mellow and pretty easy. He says hilarious things daily; I can't possibly remember them all. He LOVES the Utah Jazz and the NBA, so we had a Utah Jazz birthday party. We invited about 8 boys over, played "Pin the Number on the Jazz Bear and Jazz, Jazz, Lakers, and the kids designed their own Utah Jazz logos. It was fun, and surprisingly the 5-10 year old boys were quite well-behaved.

Sadie has hit a couple milestones; she has 3 teeth (which makes me teary-eyed even as I type this), and she LOVES her solid food. None of my kids have ever eaten this much this quick. The girl LOVES food; takes after her Mama. She can't sit up yet. No sense rushing that. She also loves her Dad now, which is certainly a relief. If I haven't mentioned it previously, from about ages 2-5 months, Sadie would bawl every time I left her with Brian, and this crying wouldn't subside until I got home and the child was safely in my arms. Yep, we have another Drama Queen on our hands.
Hmmm, what else? Oh, first day of school. Andrew and Noah were both excited and ready to go. They have wonderful teachers, and I'm excited to watch their progress this year. Ella started a week later than the boys and seems to be adjusting to Kindergarten. I think the routine is a little challenging for her, but she'll survive. Several parents have informed me that their daughters had a much more difficult time starting Kindergarten than their sons did; this seems to be the case.

Those are the major things that happened this month. It has been a CRAZY month, but I'm happy to be following a routine again now that school has begun. Maybe I'll actually get my house clean once in a while. Or, maybe not.

Aww, I miss them kids. They're going to get so old so fast to me now. What with probably only seeing them every 6 months.
Just an FYI- the word I have to type to post this message is "crabs"....hmm, well, Happy belated birthday :) hope things are well!
Happy belated Birthday, Natalie! You are such a fun mom, Noah's party looked like so much fun!
Looks like your birthday party was a smashing success! That was awfully brave of you, might I add. I'm anxious to hear which teachers your kids ended up with.
Natalie your blog is so cute. I love you sweet little kids. They keep me laughing. I can't believe you survived a boy birthday party! Dylan's parties always left me with a headache. Looks like it was really cute.
I love your posts. I'm glad your family is doing well. Take care and I'll see you Friday!

Happy belated birthday. I couldn't agree more. I too am satisfied with reading my own mind and buying what I want for my own birthday.
Your kids are so cute. I can't believe you have 3 in school now. And Miss Sadie I can tell already has some great eyelashes. What a doll.
