Where has the time gone?

I don't really know where time has gone. It doesn't seem that long since my last post, but it has been over a month. What have I been doing you ask? Um, laundry. I pretty much blame everything on laundry, and this is no exception. I HATE laundry. I've said it before; I'll be saying it until the day I die. I DESPISE laundry!

In any case, we've been schooling and cleaning and getting ready for Halloween. It will be kind of an interesting Halloween this year. I get to have foot surgery in a few days. It's time to fix my toes that curl so badly that the tops of them rub on my shoes, and my feet are constantly in pain when I wear shoes. Thank you Mom. Just joking.

Anyway, if you see me in the next month, I'll be sporting a cool cast/walking boot combination and hobbling from here to there. I'm sure trick-or-treating will be interesting. Maybe I'll just send Brian out with the kiddos. You who have normal feet, be grateful.

We went to Cornbelly's last week. Um, can I just say....NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Okay, okay...it was kind of fun. But, I made a few mistakes. First, I left the $5 certificates that the kids get in school at home. Second, I forgot my Thanksgiving Point membership card, which would have given us 25 percent off the regular price. Third, we went in the dark. The kids really enjoyed jumping on the big bouncy things and the slides (even though a teenage worker got mad at me; another story for another time). But, the kids really disliked the corn maze. I'm sorry, but the maze was ridiculously difficult. If you're going to create a super huge kids venue, at least create a corn maze that kids under age 10 will enjoy. We were stuck in the thing for an hour and a half. Come to find out, the key was taking every left turn; information that would have been useful at the beginning of the maze and not the end. I had Sadie in the stroller. We were carrying it up and down staircases (there are 4 or 5 of them), and we were off-roading it through the corn. I was afraid we'd be stuck in the maze all night. Finally I called Brian (who had taken the girls out the entrance of the maze after about 30 minutes), and he gave us the "always take the left" advice and sent a worker in after us. As my father-in-law would say, "It was character building."

I didn't get a picture of Noah or my nephew Jacob. They were too busy being busy. Anyway, here's also a few pics of Miss Sadie at almost 9 months old. I can't believe how old she is.

Call me biased, but she is the CUTEST!

Well, I too have screwy feet (thanks to my mother) so I can give you empathy on that one. I've even gone as far as scheduling the surgery but backed out...just not sure it was going to be worth it. You'll have to let me know. As for Cornbelly's, hilarious the worker rescued you; but honestly, I don't know how you could make it out without cheating. We couldn't find the "clue" ever for help.

I'm sorry that you have to have surgery! Is there anything I can do to help you? Let me know exactly when it is, and I'll bring you some ice cream or chicken noodle soup. :) Love you Nat.

Surgery is no fun at all! Let me know if I can do something for you. Dinners? Or Bus stop drop-off's/pick-up's with Ella? Anything else? Just let me know.
And I have to say that reading your last line about Sadie totally reminded me of Hannah and Ella's conversation. :)

Yay! I love being able to see your blog! So fun! Let me just say how adorable your kids are. Your boys are so handsome and your girls are beautiful!

We went to Cornbelly's today for Kassi's fieldtrip, and they had a ton of fun. But it was light outside, and we only had to pay three dollars. :)

As for your surgery, have you had it yet? What can I do for you? Dinner? Watch your kids? Please let me know. Just give me a call.:)

Turns out your Dad had hammer toes too, so he also deserves some of that thanks; but I am sorry for the pain. You have given me courage to get mine fixed some day.

I'm just a little biased too, but your kids are beautiful. Glad we skipped Cornbelly's, and if you are a size 6 after this, I'll be the next surgical victim no matter what the cost!!!
