HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!

8 years ago today, our lives changed in a dramatic way. I remember laying in the hospital, wondering if my baby would survive, and if so, what problems we would face in the future.

I can't believe 8 years have passed and that Andrew is a healthy, thriving kid. I never would have imagined that this is where we would be now. It is better than what I ever dreamed it could be. Becoming a Mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and Andrew was the beginning of 8 very exciting, wonderful years.

I love Andrew's enthusiasm for life. He is a very energetic kid, and he definitely knows what he wants and doesn't give up very easily. Right now, he loves all the action heroes (Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars etc.). He now loves to read and is getting very good at it. His best friend is his brother, Noah. The two of them never go anywhere or do anything without each other. He also loves Legos and loves to build everything from buildings, to action figures. Andrew also LOVES to write books. His writing has improved a lot since Grandma Ricks introduced him to the idea of creating his own book. Some recent titles are: "Baby Batman," "Batman versus the Hulk," "The Lego Cookie," "The Haunted Train Tunnel," and "Batman vs. The Clock King." Most of his books are about Batman right now, but occasionally he writes something different.

Anyway, we love Andrew so much and couldn't imagine our lives without him! WE LOVE YOU DREW!!
