Noah turned 6 yesterday, and I can hardly believe it. On Tuesday he was sick with a fever and throwing up, but as quickly as the illness came, it left, and he was able to enjoy his day. He woke up yesterday morning to find a new bike in the living room and was really excited about it. Then, of course, his older brother started asking, "Where are all the other presents?" I had to explain that bikes cost a lot of money and that Noah would get more presents at his "friend" party. In true Noah fashion, he accepted my explanation without any complaints. (Big brother; however, wasn't too satisfied with my explanation).
During the day, I had several errands to run, and of course Noah didn't complain. We went and got stuff for his cake and picked out balloons and decorations. We took invitations to his friends (well, his cousins) for Saturday, and we went to the Fox Hollow "Back to School" day to meet teachers. After a long day, we came home and went to dinner at the wonderful McDonald's, and then we came home, ate cake and ice cream and went to bed. Noah has always been the easiest, happiest kid and was happy with his special day. We really couldn't have asked for a more mellow, easy-going, happy kid. Happy Birthday Noah!!
In other news, today is the first day back to school. To say that I'm excited is an understatement. Maybe that sounds bad, but more than just having a little extra time to myself, I like being in a routine. This forces me to wake up early and get stuff done. I also must admit, I like not having to be the constant 24/7 entertainment. There will actually be 3 times a week (for a couple hours) where it's just Ava and myself. It will be weird to be back to dealing with only 1 child (at least until new baby arrives). Perhaps my house will be semi-clean again....or maybe not.

How was Noah's first day of school? This has been a big week for him. We love his cheerful ways and who gets more excited than he does about whatever gift he receives? I got such a kick out of him at the family birthday party. We love that little Sicilian to pieces.
Happy Birthday Noah!! We love you.
Happy Birthday Noah! What a great kid! :)
Does no one else think this picture of Noah screams George Ricks? Hope he had a great birthday.
