What on Earth?...
Sadie has rolled from her tummy to her back a number of times. Yes, the girl can roll over. She's 3 1/2 weeks old. Lest you think I'm exaggerating, I invite any of you to come to my house and watch. She gets angry about being on her tummy, lifts her head up and pushes herself right over. I've been giving her tummy time to build her muscles, and as I wasn't so great at this with my other children, I decided to really make an effort. Well now I'm not so sure about this effort. I DO NOT want an 8 month old walker. I enjoy the immobile stage a little too much, and I want this kid to be a baby as long as possible. Maybe I'll quit putting her on her tummy. Suggestions???

How funny! My nephew did this as well. He's a very strong-willed kid and could flip from his front to his back from about 3 weeks on. I about wet myself laughing the first time I saw him do it. It is surreal to watch a newborn do something so advanced.
If it makes you feel any better, he isn't that far ahead on any of his other physical milestones. He's almost 5 months old and can't flip from the back to the front yet. So maybe you'll be okay???
I hear you on the not wanting a kid to be mobile.
Ryan did the same thing when he was a few weeks old, but ended up stopping soon after. He ended up not rolling over regularly until much later. Maybe it's just a phase? Or maybe you'll just have mobile baby a bit too soon. Good luck!
Craziness.
Sorry sister, but she's probably going to end up being mobile fairly early just so she can try and keep up with everyone, regardless of what you do! Tell yourself she'll be walking at 7 months - and be excited if it's any later than that. :)
